but I also liked this photo of the same dunes close up so I thought I would post this photo today.
I love the shadows and light forming a spine through the dunes.
Thanks so much for putting yesterday's photo Going Home on the TP and the PP. I always love spotting the camels on the beach and as some people said it did look rather like Lawrence of Arabia and not just Anna Bay in summer.
@taffy I agree Taffy I wanted to post the broader picture first to give the shot context as you dont get the size of the dunes from this image but I do love the light and shade
@s4sayer Lawrence went off in the other direction with his camels.
@jgpittenger I did consider black and white and it did have a bit of an Ansel Adams feel to it, but normally the sand is so white and only changes to this golden colour in the evening golden hour light.
@beryl@happypat I thought you may be interested in the attached clip of this stretch of beach. The dunes go from Anna Bay to Stockton in Newcastle and are about 32 km long. Also along this stretch is Tin City and I have posted photos of Tin City before on 365. The only way to get there is either by 4wd or to walk and a few of us walked to Tin City a couple of years ago through the national park and then over the dunes. It was quite a hike but worth it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCOvu5AX2iU
