Ninety nine disabled people shared their skills to participate in Newcastle's 1997 Bicentenary by creating the 99 tiles which make up this mosaic. In doing this they have raised community awareness and acceptance of people with a disability.
This mosaic is a permanent feature in Museum Park, Newcastle.
