I just love galahs, they are such characters. We don't very often get them in the back garden because of the fence and so many trees, but we do see them in the front garden which is more open.
I love to see these beauties with their gorgeous colours. I always remember someone in Neighbours calling someone a “ flaming Galah” and not knowing what he was talking about.
Fabulous shot of this beautiful bird, I so would love to see them. We've been to visit friends in Sydney twice, yet I never even knew about these beauties.
@shutterbug49 Gahahs mainly eat seeds, berries and nuts but they do eat insects and the larvae too so you tend to see them on the ground. They do live in trees and make their nest in hollows of trees
