Oops!

Walking along the beach this morning I noticed a couple of casualties of our recent storm.

These small catamaran's were blown over in the wild weather on Sunday.

Oh dear! Looks like someone's insurance premium will be going up this year then!

Oh dear indeed, hope the damage wasn't irreversible those cats aren't cheap! By the way that sand looks like icing sugar, I can see why you chose such a beautiful spot to live in.

Looks like quite a bit of damage there. It must have been some storm.

@paulaw It doesn't look good for the cat's they are pretty twisted when you see them close up. Yes the sand is like icing sugar here and very white, almost pure quartz I think. Luckily the RAAF chose the spot for us to come here initially after 6 years in Melbourne and we decided to stay. After 16 moves and 3 different countries it was time to hang up our boots. Not a bad place to retire to.

What destruction. Mother Nature does like reminding us who is really in charge.

What a shame, no doubt they will be covered by insurance :-)

Great crisp shots, although very sad for the owners

@karlow75 @hermann @flyrobin @kathiecb @lafish @heidihp Thanks so much. So much damage done in such a short space of time. 15 minute storm and days to clean up. All the casualty trees seem to have been chopped down now, but lie at the side of the roads waiting for collection. I don't think the catamaran in the bottom of this picture can be repaired too easily though.

Looks to me like a decent burial is in order here. What a shame. Must've been some storm!
