Today we have been to Lemon Tree Passage with our walking group. It has been a beautiful day and today's animal picture was taken at Lemon Tree, but I took this particular shot a couple of months ago.
This has got to be the fattest koala I have ever seen in my life. It was very high up in a tree and I had to zoom to capture it.
I am not sure how long the branch will hold his or her weight.
Didn't manage to spot any koala's today on our walk, which is unusual because there are normally quite a few in the wild in that area.
And I thought that Koalas in the wild were just a rumour put about by the Australian tourist board. We didn't see any during our 6 weeks in 2004! We had to go to a sanctuary.
My goodness, what a well fed koala. We see them about 2km away from our home where we walk our dogs. Our dogs become very excited at the base of the tree and sure enough there site a koala. They are smaller and darker:-)
