This vintage grocery store museum is situated at the Centenary Centre which is Newcastle’s largest antique centre offering a wide range of antiques and collectables. The museum contains original fixtures including old cedar counters, antique scales, vintage advertising signs as well as an amazing selection of yesteryear stock from Richard Owens grocery store.
Wow what a fantastic place to visit, I could send hours just looking around,
lovely collage full of interesting detail Babs, had to enlarge the image and spent some time looking at it;)
Very interesting --We also have an open air museum in Telford --The Blist Hill Museum , with streets of shops relocated from their original places in the area ,also a school ,a Pavillion, and a lot to illustrate the industrial area --its so good to look back at our social history and even remember some of the items on display !
What a great museum. These places are fascinating to explore. The trouble is, I find that all too often museums have items which were part of my childhood in them these days!
