Thanks to everyone who commented on my month of pairs photos last month. I really enjoyed finding pairs for that theme. It was a bit of a challenge on occasion.
This month I am going to do a month of flower photos. I very rarely take photos of flowers on my 365 project. My daughter Deb always says "Mum is so not a flower person", so here we go I will attempt to take a whole month of flowers and see if I survive.
I always find that flowers are a relatively easy subject and you don't usually have to go too far from home to take a reasonable photo of one, so I thought this would be an ideal subject for me this month, especially as today is the first day of summer in Australia and also we are well and truly getting into the silly season where life gets rather hectic just before Christmas.
I will not claim to be able to tell you what each flower is, so you may have to help me out on occasion. Is this some sort of lily?
When I was a child I suffered terribly with hay fever and therefore, never used to go too near flowers. When I was in my early 30s I had a course of injections to cure me of hay fever, so that I didn't have to take antihistamines for the rest of my life. Of course, by that stage of my life though flowers were well and truly out of my lifestyle. Only since I have started taking photos for 365 have I even thought about them at all. Here goes, hope you enjoy this months topic.
Great start,,, yes this is a Day Lily..Hermerocallis.. each flower only lasts one day and then the next one pops up... great focus... look forward to seeing what else you find
It's beautiful Babs, the flower and the lighting. I suffered with hay fever from the age of seven to about four or five years ago (so about 20 years or so ;))) Suddenly one year it just seemed to disappear!!!
