Fill 'er up! by orangecrush

Fill 'er up!

I took a second out on our mortgage, cashed in my daughters college fund, and traded in my 401k...so I can fill up my truck!
What happened to the days...
Awesome!!!!!!!

Jerry, I know you're joking, I hope. So now, it's time to become a stock photographer, join all the microstock agencies online, and earn a residual income and never complain about the economy again.
Get inspired by www.arcurs.com
you are a pro and need to act on it, no time for hasty wasty!
Were you born in 76?
I was!
I truly LOVE this photo.

Go microstock, join them immediately,
I am not promoting through referrals, just honestly telling you because it will change your life forever, like a true dream come true and you were born for it. I'm almost at 4 figures a month on rf downloads.
My goal is 5 fig/monthly residuals.

Join" dreamstime, fotolia, bigstockphoto and when you know what they all accept across the board, go to istockphoto and pass their test then submit samples. they pay the most.
bigstock, fotolia and dreamstime are easiest acceptance.
dreamstime makes most money.
and there is also veer which is parallel and makes good money.
join them too, but I think you need to submit samples.
on any sample site, wait on it to know what the non-sample required sites will accept and then submit those.

I'm telling you, I just know that I know! GO!
The spirit of 76 IS ALIVE AND THRIVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember when gas was in the mid-$1 range... How I miss those days!

Cool shot! I love gas station pictures, err maybe not so much anymore haha, and you're right, it costs an arm and a leg to fill up now! :-)

Could be worse though, especially if you have a race car like mine that runs on fuel costing roughly $20 a gallon! :-0

and! on something like this image, you can't submit it as rf commercial, it's editorial.
On editorial you don't need a property or model release, because it's freedom of press.
So you can submit this to the editorial section
and I believe they make even more money than RF Commercial.

You can take pics of iphones, sony, etc and reall cash in on the editorial side!

@harley84 Thank you, Katherine! :)
@pixelchix Thank you very much, Heather!
@f365 THANK YOU< Angelina! Your comment is so inspiring! I just read an article about stock photos and was going to check it out! I feel this is a sign reading your comments! I really appreciate your advice and info! Thanks again! I 'm going to go for it so I'll keep you posted! :D
@dennyshunk $20!! Wow! Sounds like jet fuel! Thanks for the coment, Denny!

I can't find a 76 ball around here--they changed the balls for flatter signs that don't revolve. Bad move! Those 76 balls are iconic. I agree w/ @f365 and you should do stock photos! Your photos are awesome! ;-)

September 4th, 2011

September 4th, 2011
great shot and editing, lovely colours (and as a Brit, I'll refrain from commenting on fuel prices)
September 4th, 2011
Love your shot and editing. Prices here are sky high too!!
September 4th, 2011
Cool image here Jerry. (I wont mention the war on fuel prices either. In Australia at the moment its obscene.)
September 4th, 2011
Wonderful editing!
September 4th, 2011
this is very cool :)
September 4th, 2011
well as an Australian, who pays the most for gas/fuel/petrol then the rest of you... I can say cool photo, just wish our prices were as low as yours.

Also, Jerry, get yourself a bicycle or maybe a Prius. ;)

by the way, on a recent lap of Australia I purchased fuel for $2.15 per litre. You can do the math.
September 4th, 2011
I don't even look anymore at the cost per litre. I just fill the car and then wait til I get to pay before I have a heart attack!!!! xx
September 4th, 2011
Great shot Jerry, I agree with Angelina. Petrol in the UK is an outrageous price, I have a mini that I alway keep in Eco drive and I still put about $30 pw in it for short stop and start trips :(
September 4th, 2011
Nice shot Jerry, does that mean 76cents per Litre? In the UK we pay £1.36 per Litre which I think converts to $2.20 dollars!
September 4th, 2011
perfect contrast, jerry!
September 4th, 2011
awesome processing... love the tone of the entry....
September 4th, 2011
Fuel prices are considerably higher here in the UK that the US. I spend £100 a week on fuel for my car...almost as much as the outgoings for my mortgage! Great shot - love the edit
September 4th, 2011
Ha...cool shot.
September 4th, 2011
Fuel is ridiculously overpriced here in the uk too, not good. Like this shot.
September 4th, 2011
That was supposed to say 'I like this shot' lol just read my comment back and it sounded as though I was trashing your pic!
September 4th, 2011
It's getting that way, over here in Aus. they are also slugging us very, very hard for electricity:( Cool shot.
September 4th, 2011
so cool!!!!!
September 4th, 2011
neat shot!
September 4th, 2011
Nice shot! I remember as a kid people put a '76' ball on top of the car antenna. It was probably free with full-service!

September 6th, 2011
76 - the cost in dollars to fill up my Jeep. Awesome. We used to have 76 stations in Michigan in the 70s/80s, so this is nostalgic for me. When I traveled to CA recently, I was surprised to see them again.
