Its raining today so I'm posting this sunny shot to try to trick my mind into thinking its nice outside! :) Actually I'm planning on heading out in the rain to take some stormy ocean shots today. We are having up to 10ft waves today and its grey and windy, perfect for a little drama! :) Anyone have any advice on how to keep your camera dry?
Love the detail and colors. Good luck keeping dry, and wishing you even more luck taking photos from under an umbrella. I can't do it, but maybe it's my lack of coordination...
Yeah, the pier is off in the distance but there's so much interesting detail in the foreground (including more of that green on the left). I always keep a plastic fruit and veg bag and a rubber band with my camera gear, just in case.
Eye candy alert!!! Love all those textures in the pebbles and the rocks! Very nice colors and tones of colors and all with the sea and a great sky in the background! Outstanding, Jerry!
A GF of mine keep her camera in a zip lock bag and cuts the lens out but the lens is the part I feel need to be kept dry from spray etc..... Sorry not much help!

Kitchen garbage bag with a hole punched in the end. Shot a whole Wayne State U. football game in a downpour using this method. Cheap and easy. Good luck.
Great image ... I keep shower caps from hotels and use in emergencies as well as cheap plastic disposable ponchos from the pharmacy! But normally I am too chicken to take my camera out in the rain!!
Yes, trick my mind too--please! Drove to Palm Springs and there was snow at Banning Pass, sleet at Cabazon, & lots of rain in Palm Springs! Crazy! So how are you enjoying year 2 so far?
Those pebbles in the foreground are a great anchor for this shot... beautiful wide angle! How did the rainy day shots come out? I do like @zferrie shower cap idea!
