You know the Holidays are over and its time to be responsible when you go to Starbucks and they hand you the "Plain white cup"!
This year I'm going to attempt more street photography...you can see how that's going. Out of all my shots today I pick the cup! :o)
How fun has it been seeing so many new faces! On Monday I'm starting up the One Night Stand again! look for it in the discussion section! Its a lot of fun and a great way to stretch yourself!
oh please... holidays over? pshaw... i'm pretty sure i saw them stocking up on valentines day cards and candy at the grocery store the other day @@@

Jerry, I need to sponge off your brain, I really love how your eye sees things. Like Mel mentions above, even a Starbucks cup has such impact when you photograph it. Love this! Fav'd
That's my goal too - more street photography! I purchased a small Olympus PEN camera so I won't look so obvious or in anyone's face! LoL Yay to the return of the One Night Stand! :)
Sometimes it’s hard to venture out of our comfort zones and tackle the unknown, but I have no doubt you’ll be equally as skilled at street photography as you are your beautiful seascapes and landscapes. Looking forward to your ONS challenge. I have a feeling I’m going to need all the help I can get for inspiration in year three.
As a non-coffee drinker, so therefore non-Starbucks visitor, are the plain white cups available all year round and red ones for the festive season? The cup is super sharp. Wish I could afford better lenses this year...
@webfoot Yes! I took the lid off to get some buildings reflecting in the coffee and once I put it back on the cup, I realized I sat it face down on the street! It was no longer my coffee! :o)
I've contacted Paula and she is very tempted... but said she's so very busy. But she'll check in Sunday avo to see your list of styles and then hopefully that'll help her decided to do it ;)
Nice one. I can relate. What was even WORSE is when the Starbucks said the Corporate shorted all the stores of the salt for the Salted Caramel Mochas! *shudder* Gonna try the "red Solo cup" next? ;)
I was too shy or inhibited to do the one night stand, so am looking forward to it. . .maybe I'll be brave enough now. BTW. . .look at that brilliant bokeh in this street shot!!!

Hi Jerry, yes its over ;-( good luck with the street shooting, I find that so tough. I actually asked a stranger if I could take his picture for the very first time ever yesterday and then mucked it up !!! I pointed ant shot so quickly I didnt check my settings (over-exposed / blurred) Baaaghhhh
Hi, Jerry, I-love-this! Great dof and comp, besides I love coffee! I've been struggling so bad lately with taking photos and haven't had much inspire me. Seeing all of the great photos on here and reading everyone’s comments is helping to awaken me out of my photo slumber. Thanks for being part of my encouragement!
@pixscene I know just what your going through! I was struggling a few weeks ago! What helped me was, I took my camera and went somewhere I've never been before. Just me and my camera. With the early nights and work I was finding hard to come up with anything to shoot! Hopefully you can make a break for it for a short time! :) Thanks for the great compliment! :)
@karenann Thanks, Karenann! The One Night Stand is a challenge with 7 randomly selected photo types; b&w, street, macro, ect. we go through the list with just one day, one chance at each type!

Well, that's something new - not being a coffee drinker (out of necessity rather than choice, I love it but it doesn't love me!) didn't know they changed colours for Christmas.
