I've been wanting to share this with you guys for a while! This is a shot of my camera strap! Its made by this great company called Riley G! They take retro and vintage material and make camera straps out of them! Mine is made from crushed red velvet upholstery material! I love it! They have one out now made from 1980 Mercedes blue seat material! I've gotta get one of those! If you haven't heard of them here is a link http://www.rileygdesignworks.com/page/page/6735720.htm
I agree with @kbalychev , this shot is much better than any they have! I will definitely get one, plus about a dozen extra sets of Super Loops! Thanks again, and fave!
very nice
i was going to take a photo of my two cameras today sporting their new straps too... one is very different from the other... i like them both but one is much less bulky then the other.
that company sounds like they have a hit with those products.
I got my photographer niece Erin a strap for x mas....green ( her fav color) with hibiscus flowers on it. From capturing couture. I want a stylish strap too! I am going t o check these out!
@espyetta Yes! The straps unsnap. I love it when I'm using a tripod and its windy. You can unsnap the strap so the wind doesn't cause the camera to shake!
@orangecrush which curves do you use? the blonde's? I took a look thru their straps and saw a few I like. they should give you a discount for every customer you send their way
@kiwichick Try this- open your pic in PS and click on create new adjustment layer, then click curves. In the dropdown menu, change RGB to red. move the top mark to; output 255 and input 235. (these are just random numbers. you will want to adjust to fit your pic) Along the diagnal line click in the middle of the second to the bottom square and drag it down to; output 80, input 102. Now go the the green. One third down the line click and drag to; output 199, input 176. Go two thirds down the line and click and drag it to; output 66, input 86. One more! Go to blue. Click on the top corner and drag it down to; output 230, input 255. Click and drag the bottom corner and drag it up to; output 20, input 0. That's it! I hope this thoroughly confusing explanation helps! Let me know how it worked! :)
Great shot! And what a coincidence. I just got my new camera strap yesterday and thought I should take a picture of it as it is so perfect. By Gordy's.
Cool strap, capture and processing! I read your explanation to Lesley re. the processing, and although it wasn't aimed this way, thank you from me too, because it's always good to learn about things like that.
Oh nice as! I just got myself a carry speed strap... similar to the black rapid but I think better from reviews... I'm loving it.... except that I can't place the camera on the ground without taking it off the camera... hmmm...
what a lovely idea - I was quite tempted but checking the website - $35 extra for international p&p makes it quite pricey! Ummmm birthday coming up ......
@stoat $35! Wow, that does jack up the price a bit! The one I really want is about a hundred so an extra 35 would really send it out of my budget! But like you said, that's what birthdays are for! :)
