This is a shot from the same location as my "Scoping the surf" shot. I found this patch of moss and had to shoot it!
Thank you all so much for stopping by and taking the time to comment! It really makes my day to read your comments and hear from you!
@dianalbrass For you, anything! I used my 10-22mm wide angle lens. If you tilt it down a bit it gives this effect to lead your eye into the shot! The same effect can be used if you have a great sky but you tilt the lens up a bit. :)
@ptowncook This part of the beach is mainly rock. I found this patch of moss on a little section. For this shot I tilted my wide angle lens toward the ground to exaggerate the patch of moss. It looks huge but it was a patch the size of a bed sheet!
Wonderful pov and I love the way the reflected light marries rock, sea, and sky. The epitome of great composition - I was trying to analyse which factor caught my attention and delighted me and that's when I realised that the balance is so perfect that no single aspect rules the shot - true beauty. - following
Another glorious photo Jerry! I love moss and some years back took a photo of moss in the shape of a heart that I found a Beech Forest in Provincetown, MA. Wish I knew where it is! This is amazing.
Beautiful image. Fav & a follow.
