I"m looking at that and thinking of all the beautiful oak furniture that might have made! (Always sad to see an empty spot when a big tree has gone...)
@Weezilou@deliag@karenh@pyrrhula Yes, we heat with wood mainly. This oak needs to dry though for a couple of years, it's too wet to burn this winter. Nobody got hurt by the oak. The yews in the churchyard next to us came down too, one on the electricity line and one on the old graves.
