On the bypass

I'd forgotten to put back the settings to colour again on my point and shoot camera. At home I thought it didn't look that bad in black and white. I didn't do anything to it, straight out of camera.

To the left in the distance, Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, 1085m.

By the way, critics, tips welcome!
Love the emptiness!

There is a lovely serenity about this shot. I might have been tempted to crop out the road in the foreground but the parallel lines running on an angle to the horizon are soothing and hint at the connection between the camera and the land.

Mooie foto , vooral de bergen , maar die weg he. ? De laatste bol foto stond ik ook op een weg maar ik laat ze speciaal uit de opname. Geeft zo mooi ruimtelijk effect.

I drive along this road so often for work and keep meaning to stop and take a photo as the landscape is just so big and awesome. I like it's simplicity.

I like how the more you look at it the more you see. A beautifully relaxing photo.

Reminds me of being on an adventure, a road trip. We walked up Snowdon a few years back, it was hard but brilliant!

I drove along here for work today and wondered how I would do it. I couldn't really come up with anything except that maybe on a day when there are storm clouds gathering or shadows it might be good in colour. A bit difficult with clear blue skies!

@gnome yes, storm clouds would be great. It's a great spot, I once caught a rainbow http://365project.org/overalvandaan/third-attempt/2014-01-18. Looking forward to your shot of this place one day.

I still find the best views from the Cob, when you see the estuary and the river Glaslyn and the mountains!
