I wish they wouldn't pack everything in plastic!
This would have worked for the Rainbow challenge
April 6th, 2018
@trinda yes, must do that challenge one day.
April 6th, 2018
Yes. I have started opening the packaging and taking the loose apples to the checkout. Letting them scan the barcode and leaving them with the plastic.

Bep
Helemaal met je eens!
April 6th, 2018

I have started to try and buy unwrapped food
April 6th, 2018
April 6th, 2018
@trinda @snowy @jacqbb @gijsje @motherjane thanks for your nice commenta. The local produce market here in Porthmadog will seĺl fruit, vegetables unwrapped, but it would be great if supermarkets, the big retailers take a lead in changing packaging.
April 6th, 2018

I like how my mind continues the display past the top of the frame...nice angle. (I also try to buy w/o the plastic!)
April 6th, 2018
April 6th, 2018
I completely agree. Plastic is to be fought whenever or where ever we can.
April 7th, 2018
I don't buy plastic wrapped fruit or veg...it sweats badly....
April 7th, 2018
I buy off market when i can...but even some of that is in bags...but you can buy loose.but grapes still in boxes..when i unpacked my fruit n veg shop from the marketthe other day.i thought..allthis plastic !
April 7th, 2018
I agree, I always try to avoid anything packaged in plastic as much as I can.
April 7th, 2018
You should come to Aberystwyth for your fruit and veg... The Treehouse is holding fast against the newcomers Tesco and M&S
April 7th, 2018
It has been a bug bear of mine for a long long time. The number of items that you can pick loose in supermarkets has been decreasing rapidly over the past couple of years. I love @motherjane idea. Not sure I'm brave enough to do that. If I do end up buying them like this, I cut the bags open and reuse them.
April 7th, 2018
I agree. I don't want that many sometimes. And I can't always tell what shape each piece is in.
April 8th, 2018
Indeed. I have been trying not to buy fruit and veg in plastic packaging but it's almost impossible but times are changing... we must help to reduce the waste
April 9th, 2018
I'd rather they came in some mesh bagging, especially potatoes. Potatoes don't last very long in plastic bags where they can't get air.

@overalvandaan interesting comment you make here, you have given me an idea for your challenge this week!
