Here we are down in Devon and all week we have been surrounded by pheasants. Tomorrow the pheasant shoot starts. Yuk! All the rich guys have arrived down at the Red Lion Hotel in Clovelly ready for the shooting weekend. They pay a fortune to take part. The pheasants have been bred just for this. These beauties were outside the window in the hedge. I hope they escape the shoot!
They are so beautiful. There used to be a lot of pheasants here in Iowa USA, but we hardly ever see one anymore. Makes me sad to think about a pheasant shoot.
