This weekend the RSPB have asked everyone in the UK to join in on the Big Garden Birdwatch. One hour watching and counting the birds you see in your garden. Here are just four of the visitors to my garden this morning. We saw 2 Blackbirds, 1 Chaffinch, 1 Collared Dove, 1 Dunnock, 1 Greenfinch, 1 House Sparrow, 1 robin, 2 starlings and 2 Woodpigeons.
I uploaded my results online to the RSPB and there had already been over one and a half million birds counted and there was still a long time to go. Not that many people take part in these surveys which is a shame as it gives the scientists a good idea of what is going on in the bird world.
Many thanks for your lovely comments on yesterday's shots - always appreciated.
How wonderful just woke up to find this on the PP! Many thanks for your lovely comments and Favs which got it there!
Lovely collage. We had these four as well. plus blackbirds, sparrows, dunnock, colared doves. goldfinches, bluetits and wiedly seagulls after some cake I had thrown out. Unfortunately the long tailed tits who have been here every day since Christmas didn't show up.
What a great collection Pam, I took part in the survey and was able to add a Blackcap, which I have never seen before, but he turned up yesterday completely out of the blue.
