Here we are staying in a tiny cottage in Bardsea which is on the edge of the Lake District, Cumbria. I have put a red cross above our little cottage - not sure if you can make it out. We have a lovely patio garden with table and chairs where we can sit and look over Morecombe Bay - a fabulous view!! With my binoculars I could even make out the Blackpool tower. Bardsea is a small village near Ulverstone and it really is a quiet place away from the hustle and bustle of the Lake District towns. Yesterday when we arrived it was really hot and sunny and we had a lovely walk along the beach. Rain overnight and it's very windy today. Just hoping the days stay dry for us. Tomorrow we are going to drive north up the coast road and stop anywhere we fancy. I love to drive along roads I have never traveled before!!
If you get as far as Bootle (north of Millom) there is a lovely cafe there called Millstones, well worth a visit. Or the Village Bakery in Broughton in Furness, have fun!
Great scenic shot. It's got a lot of interest. Hope you enjoy Cumbria, it's a lovely county with lots to see and do - but then I am rather biased!!! :)
@maggiemae no it's one of the tiny white cottages in front of the big house. It's one of the pair of semi_detached cottages. Three bedrooms but very small rooms! That's fine as it just where you sleep!
A lovely view! have a lovely time.
If you are going north .... you may come across Millom which is where my "in laws" live - there is a place called Hodbarrow there which is a small nature reserve.:)
