The Rookery Spiral Staircase

Last year when we visited The Rookery we were unable to visit and photograph the spiral staircase. I was so pleased that our visit this time coincided with the stairs being open for us to see. It really is breathtaking and quite difficult to capture as I couldn't lean back as far as I wanted without feeling dizzy! A very interesting tour of a wonderful building!

Taken with my fisheye lens using HDR in camera. This is the only way I can upload a photo from my Ipad. I shoot Raw and 365 will only allow a jpeg to be uploaded. Not too keen on using the camera created jpeg because I think you can get a more natural HDR if you merge the three shots in LR or PS.
