On top of the world

Today we went to Malham but did not get as far as the cove as my sisters back started to hurt and we had to go back to the car. I drove up towards Malham Tarn and then over the top towards Settle. What a fabulous drive with views as far as you could see. It was a one track road with passing places so getting a photo was difficult!
Back at the house now and Barb is watching Wimbledon. Her back seems fine now! Lol! Only joking!

An iPhone shot so that I can upload to 365. It's very frustrating not having WiFi!
Lovely landscape with great depth and layers

How gorgeous this is!!! So English! By any standards, Pam, this is a beautiful photo, and I know you're getting many more lovely ones with that fabulous camera of yours! Probably NOT having wifi is making the vacation a little more relaxing... I did laugh at how "back troubles" need to be sorted out in front of a tennis match!

What a perfect title for this scene. I love the iconic look of the winding stone fences. Such an inviting place for a walk.

So beautiful, I understand your frustration, the roads we go down are one track with passing places, if you are lucky and usually always someone on your tail!! Fav

I love dry-stone walls, and admire the skill of the people who built them. There are quite a few in the region just west of us on the (old!) volcanic plains which are riddled with rocks.

As they say the best camera is the one you have with you. I would not have known it was a phone shot unless you had said!

Splendid! A wonderfully pastoral scene, without looking cliché, and beautifully done. FAV Wish I was there:))
