Back home now after a couple of days photography tuition with Professional Photographer Simon Watkinson. Day one was magical as Simon took me to meet their horse Murphy. I am petrified of horses and have never even touched one yet alone stand in the middle of the paddock as he galloped round (I am told it was a canter and a trot but it felt like a gallop to me) When Murphy came over to me in the centre of the ring my heart was thumping!! He was the perfect gentleman and even allowed me to feed him a carot. What soft mouths they have!! I think you can tell I am nervous from this image but I just wanted to record what for me was a magical moment!!
I expect more horse photos will follow!! LOL!!
The WiFi was non existent in the cottage and I have a lot of catching up to do.
Awww! How wonderful to have Murphy to show you horses are kind, really. I like this photo a lot. Congratulations on attending a professional photography course, oh my!
This is amazing -- what a great tutoring experience. I love horses, but know they can feel intimidating given their size. You look like a pro! Congrats on overcoming a fear.
I'm not petrified of horses, but I'm still not in my comfort zone when too close to them. I was on a horse once way back when when horse decided to take off in a run. I'm a city girl...i'm not into horses. That was not fun!
Oh Pam, this is wonderful!!! I guess I never took you out to meet Mica outside Lunenburg! I used to ride often when we lived in Arizona, but it's been so long, I feel intimidated a bit as I'm older; I understand! Do treasure this photo though! It's a keeper!
Wonderful! Pam that's a magical day for sure. I'm glad you got to pet him. I'm very respectufl of them - they are amazing creatures to me - allowing us to ride them... you wow. You got the full dose too, with him cantering around you like that. Way cool experience and I'm glad your shared it with us!
