Slow puncture by pamknowler

Slow puncture

Modern cars with all their electronics can be wonderful - most of the time. My car gives a warning message on the screen when the tyre pressure has gone down and is not balanced with the tyre on the other side. My rear tyre has twice given this warning in the last couple of weeks and both times my nephew has gone to the garage to pump it up again. He told me to take it to the garage in town called Woolfords who are tyre specialists in case I had a slow puncture.

This morning i went to the old family firm of Woolfords and met two delightfully charming men who conformed that indeed I did have a slow puncture. In fact I had a two inch screw in the tyre!! This is the screw being pulled out of the tyre. They did a great repair job and didn't seem to mind me taking photos of the whole operation.

How lovely to get such great service from such lovely men. Not many shops these days do you get such good customer service!!

Many thanks for visiting my project. I am so behind in taking photos - where has my mojo gone?
at least he puncture was not on the side where you'd need to replace the tire :)

Oops!! My husband had this happen with his bicycle tire just this week!

It's amazing when sometimes you get something like a screw in your tyre & they can mend it but otheretimes its a new tyre needed! I find the worst thing is that you have to have the warning light switched off by computer!

Oh dear -- good thing it didn't 'blow' while you were on a busy road! Nice to have it fixed and a good shot to document the event.

Oh gosh, just as well you got this thing out of your tyre, anything could've happened. I had a similar experience when I visited my daughter earlier in the year, picked up a fencing staple.
