What a joy to drive around when the roads are mostly empty like this!! Even the highways had very few cars and lorries. I can remember when I first started driving what a pleasure it was to drive out for the day. Nowadays in the UK it feels like you are in a car park most of the time - especially the motorways. Driving has become so stressful and I have lost that joy I had years ago. Ken and Louise @weezolou said the same and I understand the roads in California are even worse than the UK - the thought of an eleven lane highway gives me the horrors!!
We drove out nearly every day of my holiday and it was such a pleasure. You could really take in the beauty of the countryside.
Best on black of course!!
Many thanks for your great comments on yesterday's image which surprisingly was on the PP today!!
Well, when we drove around here a year or so ago, we made the observation that you couldn't see the countryside for all the trees! Good roads too as seen here!
@maggiemae I was amazed at the number of lakes and inlets from the sea. There seemed to be water whichever direction you looked. I loved to see so many house with waterside views. Yes lots of trees but even more water!! LOL!!
I've heard a number of people saying they "just see trees"... Coming from a city and suburbs, to me that's not a bad thing at all! And like you, there's a lot to see between trees! I'm looking at your picture thumbnails from your album, and I feel as though I'm looking at my own page! A lot of familiar faces there!
