Another image from yesterday's walk in Castle Ashby's gardens. We parked the car and were walking towards the arboretum where we could take the dogs off the lead. It had been a foggy dull morning but as we walked past the castle the sun suddenly came out and illuminated the building which looked lovely against the dark threatening sky. It didn't take long for the sun to burn off the fog and we had a lovely blue sky with sunshine. Lovely to see our Union flag flying as well as the England flag.

Many thanks for putting Finlay on the PP yesterday - so lovely to see him there. Yes he does always look cleaner than George who is a little scruff bag!! LOL!! He was looking across the lake at a large barking Alsatian which is why he looked very serious. Thankfully the owners took their dog in the other direction so we didn't have to come face to face.
How absolutely gorgeous!!! I can't imagine having such a beautiful building...a castle, no less!...in the neighbourhood! Your photo is magnificent with the sun dashed onto the building!
