A funny old day which started off with torrential rain and ended in lovely sunshine. We decided to drive south down the Yorkshire coast as this was an area neither of us had been to before. I have to say I was disapointed as the countryside on the Yorkshire Wolds is very flat and similar to Lincolnshire. I much prefer the Yorkshire Dales and the North Yorkshire Moors.
We went for a walk on the beach at Hornsea and there were lots of these little birds running back and forth along the waters edge. I think it is a Sanderling (feel free to correct me as I am a bit dodgy on my IDs)
Thank you all so much for the many good wishes you have sent me!! My ribs are very stiff and tender today and it is painful to stand up and sit down. Once there I am ok!! The bruise is now a wonderful purple!! My lovely sister came again and cooked lunch for us both and took Finlay for a walk. Finlay loves her!!
You needed to be more around the areas such as Millington, Huggate and such like. There are some wonderful deep dales with stunning landscapes deeper in the Wolds. Unless you head there, it is quite flat. I must admit I love mountains, the Yorkshire dales and the Moors too.
This is a lovely capture!
