This was the sight which greeted me this morning as I got ready to leave Yorkshire after my few days holiday. We had a lovely time celebrating my sister's birthday on Wednesday. We chilled out and had a lovely relaxing time and the weather wasn't too bad for January!!
It was a great drive home in sunshine but when I was about an hour from home I had an accident when I stopped to let Finlay go to the toilet. We went on a path off the layby into the woods and as we walked back to the car I tripped on a piece of barbed wire across the path and landed on my chest face down the small hill. I was completely winded and luckily my sister heard me shout out and a man in a parked car both rushed to help pick me up. I managed to drive home but I have a huge bruise across my chest and I am very stiff. I think in the morning I may find other places I landed on!! I have just uploaded this shot for today and will fill in the missing days hopefully tomorow or the next few days. What a horrible way to end a wonderful holiday!!
I have missed all my 365 friends and seeing your photos - I hate not having Wifi!! Catch up properly as soon as I feel a bit better!!
26/1/14 5.30pm - I have just seen this shot on the PP and am so chuffed it made it there!! Many thanks to you all for getting it there!!
Oh no!! I'm so sorry to hear you had the accident. Tomorrow may be even a little harder. Take good care of yourself -- hot baths, etc. I do love this photo -- the red is just brilliant and the silhouettes work so well.
Wow fantastic Sunrise.. sorry about your 'Little trip' sounds a little like my Bro-in-law.. but he ended up with 5 stitches in his tongue... ( think his also had something to do with a rum or two..).. hope you don't have too many sore spots in the morning..
A beautiful capture, wonderful color and composition. I am so sorry to hear about your fall. I know you will be sore for a few days at least, take good care and get better soon. Finlay will have to give you lots of loves.
What a beautiful sunrise a FAV for me. So sorry to hear about your fall, thank goodness you didn't cause yourself worse damage. Get well soon, shame Finlay can't make you a cup of tea!
Fav Pam, this is a stunning sunrise! . Sorry to read about your accident! That sounds really painful, get well soon! I can't believe you were actually staying only 10 mins away from where I live! I never knew there was a Kilham Hall, but then I suppose I live here and generally don't go looking for holiday accommodation Lol! Glad you had a lovely time. Your cottage looks gorgeous!
Oh Pam poor you i bet it gave you a nasty shock as well as bruising, I do hope you are not too badly hurt, take some arnica if you have it, great for bruises. Love the silhouettes and colour in this shot.
this is such a stunning view - fantastic shot!
Hope you're not too bruised and you're soon feeling better
What a stunning sky.
