22nd July 2014 - Green

As we were walking back up the path from Ayesgarth Falls I spotted this fern in the undergrowth. It was quite dark and damp and I decided to take 3 bracketed shots and process it HDR to see if I could get the detail out. I was quite surprised at the difference in this shot to the original - lots of detail which had been hidden in the shadows. Best large against black.

Uploaded for my alternate album
Super greenery and details

The green really pops, and the details are lovely. I would never of thought to do HDR on this - clever you!

@888rachel I find I am trying HDR on everything at the moment! It has been a real eye opener for me. I am so pleased I have been able to do most of my shots hand held which has surprised me too! I expect this will pass as we take on a new technique in our mentoring group! Having fun!

Gee Pam, that's worked very well as an HDR, I've learned a lot from this shot. Well done.
