14th July 2015 - Coniston Water

We stopped at the side of Coniston Water on our way to Grassmere. It wasn't raining this morning but it was quite cloudy. Not much colour in the shot so I converted to B&W. When we got to Grassmere the sun came out and the temperature went up!! Yippee!!

Definitely best on black!!

When there is rain in the Lake District, it seems to flatten all the lakes so beautifully! Great light in the water - shows up in B&W!

One of my favourite places, visited many a time. Renowned for rain in The Lakes and it does sometimes make it a little more difficult to get a decent shot. This is lovely, it must have been a pretty still day as the water is pretty calm. Be sure to do the walk around Grasmere Water/Rydal Water - definitely worth it for photo opportunities.
