While we were in the garden the young couple from the next cottage up the valley came running past down towards the beach. We were still in the garden when they came running back up the steep hill - very impressive I must say!!
I waved and said hello from a distance but the boys had to go and say their own hello and George had to make a fuss of the lovely young chap.
A heartwarming sight....we are not creatures of solitude by nature so I understand your pleasure & of course the doggies to see a new face! Are you on your own with the dogs or do you have your sister with you still Pam.
@happypat my sister lives with me Pat since her husband died a few years ago. We have had to vacate our house because of the burst pipe in the kitchen and are social distancing down in deepest Devon!
@happypat no work being done at the moment Pat as the drying out continues. They are coming back on 8th April to check it but even if they issue the dry certificate my builder isn’t working at the moment and even if his lads were working the suppliers are all closed - no paint, skirting boards, flooring etc etc! It’s a nighttime! not sure when the work will start again! Will we ever get back from Devon?
