@taffy@newbank@sullivar@888rachel@golftragic For your comments. Not sure again if this qualifies. I was out searching for an interesting building and thought this Victorian viaduct was quite impressive.
I really like this shot too for some of the reasons spelled out in my comments on the other shot. But in this case the low pov gives a wonderful sense of length. Love it.
This really does have an interesting pov - the viaduct seems more significant here while the other is a great landscape shot. Like the view through the viaduct with the road continuing out of sight. Colors are wonderful.
I do like this, but in the interest of the mentoring idea...I think that the bridge, while impressive, could increase in the way it's dominating if you made it more of a panorama. See what you think if you feel like cropping down from the top and up from the bottom. Try different things, but if it were me, I would crop at about where that first bush starts on the left for the lower end, and then from the top just above the fluffy lowest cloud on the left. That would put the bridge in a very dominant line. It's fine as is -- just a thought to try relative to our theme of architecture as it will give an even great contrast to the other image. @newbank@sullivar@888rachel@golftragic
@taffy thanks for your critique Taffy - very much appreciated! I can't think why I didn't think to take a panorama in the first place! If I had done that I would have got so much more of the viaduct in. My landscape skills have got very rusty and this is just what I needed to dust off the cobwebs! I will 're edit this shot and see what I can do to improve it. @newbank@sullivar@888rachel @ golftragic
Wow, this is a very impressive structure, and great for the architecture theme. I love all those arches. Taffy made a good point about the panorama too.
