2nd December 2014 - Tree cutting

This was as near as I could get to the men chopping down the trees. In fact as I stood there a tree was felled. Missed it with my Iphone - not fast enough. The sepia tone fitted my mood.

Uploaded for my extras album
Great mono shot

It would be interesting to know their reasons for cutting down all these trees. I hope what they do when they are finished makes it worthwhile!

Very pretty in sepia!!

Good capture. Here, the South Florida Water Management District decided to clear trees that homeowners planted within their easements. It caused quite a ruckus but they prevailed. :-(

They took all the trees
And put them in a tree museum
And they charged all the people
A dollar and a half to see 'em
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
Till it's gone
They paved paradise
And they put up a parking lot

Good shot Pam, especially with your phone. I can never get the darned thing organised quickly enough. Did you find out why the trees are coming down?

Do hope you are feeling more colourful soon. A great catch with the phone. Mine often come out blurry.

SO sad...I saw a posting yesterday that reminds me of this. Then I recalled a face book posting which went kind of like (not exact quote): "Why is that we destroy something created by man it is called "looting" but when we destroy something created by nature it is called "progress" So sad. Well captured.
