When I was a child I loved Clarence the cross eyed Lion and Judy the Chimpanzee from Daktarri, anyone remember? I went nowhere unless Judy was holding my hand. She is tear soaked and laughter charged and always ready for a hug even today. She knows the secret of my first kiss and my biggest lie and a whole lot more that she will never tell Best Friend to the end.
A wonderful way to introduce us to her- she's perfectly posed in that tree! A well-loved friend. I don't remember too much about it, but I do remember the show. Nice shot.
We should all have a friend like that! Love the pose . . and the worn-out shoes (feet?) and the banana! Great shot . . oh and I like the texture of that great tree!
This Chimp sat on my Mom's College bed, then I was about 3 when I took it over. Mom paid someone twice to sew a new body, then she made it clothes to try to hold it together, and lastly I put the t-shirt on from my baby brother when I was 12. He is now 36.
@sls I am a writer actually, I have a couple of Fantasy novels kind of along the lines of Narnia and Neverland or OZ. Duffy Barkley is Not a Dog is the first one. Thanks for looking and leaving a comment here.
This made me smile! She is wearing an old t-shirt, and that is what my son (now in college) used to dress his Bunny in. She still graces his bedroom and I've been told I am NOT allowed to get rid of her.
I think we all have a comfort object. I know that I do....which sadly is so much more worn now from all the love that she has received. The composition of this is just perfect....and the words just special. Tears....
