A Year After

The harbor a year later, now there are fewer docks, the damage to the lost boats and the loss of the young man has not been recovered from, but there are some docks replaced, the crabbing season happens and is winding up as we speak and shrimping is about to begin again. The harbor may be emptier a year after the tsunami, but it is still functioning.
Good to see they are back to functional. No, you'll never FULLY recover the loss of a life. Crabs! MmMmMmMmM! I would love some right now!

How beautiful and serene it all looks now. Good to hear that it's all back to working the waters again. LOVE seafood of all kinds. Beauiful composition!

I dont think you ever recover totally from something like this, Dixie, but it looks like they're continuing to move forward!

It takes time to recover, but I'm glad that it is slowly getting there. It looks like a place I would like to be.

Agree with Karenann...looks so calm now, it's hard to picture what the tsunami must have been like. Glad things are getting back to normal. Beautiful shot!

We had some damage in the Morro Bay Harbor down here, fortunately there were no injuries or loss of life.
