The first color in the olympic rings and the second in our awesome-august challenge

Olympic rings
The five Olympic rings represent the five parts of the world involved in the Olympics and were designed in 1912, adopted in June 1914[3] and debuted at the 1920 Antwerp Olympics.
The symbol of the Olympic Games is composed of five interlocking rings, coloured blue, yellow, black, green, and red on a white field. This was originally designed in 1912 by Baron Pierre de Coubertin, the founder of the modern Olympic Games. According to de Coubertin, the ring colours with the white background stand for those colors that appeared on all the national flags that competed in the Olympic games at that time. Upon its initial introduction, de Coubertin stated the following in the August, 1912 edition of Olympique:
"...the six colours [including the flag’s white background] thus combined reproduce the colours of all the nations, with no exception. The blue and yellow of Sweden, the blue and white of Greece, the tri- colours of France, England and America, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Hungary, the yellow and red of Spain next to the novelties of Brazil or Australia, with old Japan and new China. Here is truly an international symbol."
Whoa ... what a beautiful collage (besides the wonderful Olympics rings colors!) I love each photo in and of itself! Well put together and lovely color ... I keep going back and studying each photo!!
@pandorasecho I didn't realize when Alia suggested this theme for this week that the white background of the flag was considered one of the colors. I don't think it's going to show up in any of my shots, but if I'm still doing something like this in four years when the next Olympics rolls around, now I know better! Actually, the winter Olympics will come in two years I think- they alternate, right?
