Purple must not be around my house much because I usually have to really search to find it when I want a purple picture. I think I hate it in reaction to a teacher who had everything purple including her crutches and cast on her foot. So of course my sons both like it. Maybe it is even in reaction to all the pink and purple stuff pushed off on little girls even though I understand that, that doesn't automatically make them bad colors, but I never wanted to be judged girlie and I still get angry when I remember being told I could not take wood or auto shop as a girl in high school. I think that memory makes me see purple.
The quote by Alice Walker is too funny! I love purple flowers, but was never much for purple in clothing, household decor and the like. Pink? Now that's a different story ;-) The song brings back memories of The Platters. Loved them! What a beautiful collage.....love all the photos.

Month some people did a thumbnail challenge and one row of their calendar views was the rainbow order seven colors. Then the next week was to have a continuous line running through it. It was the first time I really thought of those thumbnails as a part of a larger picture so all this wek I am doing more colors but next week I want all seven days to be part of a panorama.
Well, I don't wear it or buy it ... but I never pass by a purple flower without stopping! So hopefully, I'm not making Him "angry!" lol All that aside, I love your collage, Dixie. And I do notice several purple flowers in there too as well as some in the nature scenes. All of the photos are wonderful ... in fact, they are beautiful! Purple is wonderful ... so long as I don't have to wear it. I didn't want to take wood shop, but I hated home-ec. Go figure!!
Lovely purples! I like purple flowers. My school offered wood shop to the female students, but I was afraid to take wood shop instead of home ec. The school had just started this practice and the students that "crossed over" the boundary lines were made fun of . Silly me. I did not like home ec and I would have loved wood shop.
