I had forgotten how much a toddler could hand on one branch on a Christmas tree while completely ignoring every other branch. The steady concentration is pretty amazing. Tuesdays are for activities and one we never fail to do, even though sometimes we want to, is trimming the tree. This year we are not using any breakable ornaments.
Burton Hillis
The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
I heard the bells on Christmas Day
Their old, familiar carols play, and wild and sweet The word repeat of peace on earth, good-will to men!
Charles N. Barnard
The perfect Christmas tree? All Christmas trees are perfect!
Larry Wilde
Never worry about the size of your Christmas tree. In the eyes of children, they are all 30 feet tall.
Burton Hillis quote is the best! It is so true. And I had to laugh at the "this year we are not using breakable ones" because a few years ago my nephew found a bunch of red ball ornaments and started dropping them from chest high onto a tile floor just to watch them shatter. Probably a lot funnier because it was neither my child nor my mess to clean up. ;o)
lol A wise choice to go with the soft ornaments this year! Fun shot! I love it when the grandkids can help me decorate the tree- but this year we're not having one because the unlaid wood floor is taking up to much space and I can't shift the furniture for the tree!
