Something I like to do at work

I love working on writing my books and I love working with kids as a substitute teacher, but I really love it when it comes together and a class invites me to speak as a writer to students. It is fun to be surrounded by kids asking for my autograph but it is better to wait until the very end and the couple kids who linger shyly and want to confide their own writing and drawing and dreaming.
Awesome! I love your passion. Are your books published? If so where can I purchase them for my grandsons?

@franklein Thank you for asking, Yes, there are 3 books, one about two girls who travel the Oregon trail 152 years apart - and two about a boy with Cerebral Palsy who ends up in another world (Narnia, Oz, Neverland)

They are all available for kindle or as paperbacks on Amazon at

@mittens Thanks, I always wanted to write but it took 46 years before I got it together.

I'll have to see if I can get my hands on your books. Are you on Goodreads, by any chance?

I'm glad I saw this- I want to write myself a note to get your Oregon Trail book! I've been meaning to do that for some time now! Love the shot and your excitement. I have a feeling you will inspire quite a few students to enjoy writing and reading with that kind of enthusiasm!
