One thing that is absolutely joyous is giving children a chance to play with their own creativity in messy, undirected, unstructured ways. I have a warming tray, but instead of keeping food at a buffet, I plug it in and slap on a piece of paper, dig out a bag of broken, unwrapped crayons and let the kids start playing with the melted wax. Once the picture cools we post them in the window and they glow like stained glass. This masterpiece was by a 4 year old, severely handicapped girl and me just chatting as we drew
@fullcircle no, just the large size of paper from the photocopier. At home I do it myself on the top of my woodstove when it is not too hot but at school I keep close by and keep the warming tray set on low
fantastic. we used to melt the crayons between waxed paper with an iron - this is such a better method - i have been wondering how to do something like this with my grand daughters and now i know. thank you so much for sharing and i love your photo, btw, fav!
