A local school has reconstructed plank houses like the Yurok and Talowa tribes lived in in this area for millennia. The closest building is only for men as it is a tribal sweatlodge where the males share traditions and pass on history and legends
I am guessing there are beetles in here too, but not Beatles, although the words were Local Legends and Beatles (not beetles), but my Niece did get to sit in a room and listen to Paul McCartney play and sing about 10 days ago down in SoCal but I wasn't there when she bumped into him as he came out of the bathroom, so no pictures from me.
three good things
1. I am fed and warm
2. I got to work with good kids
3. I have a good book to read
@maggiemae yes. The interior of the houses were similar. A plank house with a round door you had to crawl into. Or doorway. No door. A rim of earth as a shelf a couple feet wide at ground level and a deep square room dugout in the center with a firepit In warm weather they might take down the walls and hold dances around the fires.
Great shot! Super as a B&W. I guess you could have linked this with "She came in through the bathroom window" (1969) - as sweatlodges didn't have windows (I guess), the door would act as a window too!
@gozoinklings it's rude and funny and called the foul mouth and the fanged lady. It is one of the king Henry tapes, not the real king at all and the first one is on kindle for free.
