Well there is a saying that pretty much has defined this location for a long time
"No Law North of the klamath"
Well, there is some of course, but there are a lot of people who ignore it and go their own way and back in the hills and on the tribal lands no one talks much about what goes on, and a lot of people still want to have seceded from California and Oregon and created the state of Jefferson, which for 80 years has only been a State of Mind
This is the klamath bridge, built when the flood of 64 washed away the other one, and the bears are bright gold, they were not, but the locals painted them, the highway dept. cleaned off the paint and the locals repainted them and guess who won that battle? The Golden Bear Casino is now near-by
This is from a couple year ago when we had a mama and calf grey whale swimming under the bridge for five weeks
