Sunflower Love by pandorasecho

Sunflower Love

I love sunflowers and once, about 15 to 20 years ago, when my husband had to go out of town for a weeklong class on teaching, he came home with this 11x17 inch pastel drawing he had made for me. When we first were dating he was on a speech team that spent long hours on a bus and he would color pictures and bring them back to me. It was always nice to get a reminder that I had been on his mind while we were apart.

Three good things
1. Being one of the lucky people who did get to marry their best friend
2. Being lucky enough to have met him while we were young
3. Him having such a childlike sense of fun that it has kept me younger.
What a wonderful keepsake to have, definitely a treasure

Lovely shot of the artwork of your husband. How sweet of him to bring you home drawings that he has made when away from you.

What a thoughtful creative hubby and a beautiful pastel drawing to cherish forever. I, too, love sunflowers and my kitchen has a sunflower theme.

Beautiful picture. My husband and I have been married for 23 years and dated for 6. It's interesting that most people who have been married a long time laugh a lot.

This is really nice- reminds me of the joyful VanGogh florals. What a great thing to have hanging on the wall all these years. And yes, it's a blessing and bonus to marry your best friend!

very nice painting and the intrinsic value of course is priceless, a treasure to have. partner and i have been together for 22 years. as much as i love peace and quiet i don't know how we lasted this long. but like your hubby, he'd be travelling especially on his distance deliveries and he'd take note of the scenery and would drive back there with me so i can photograph it. he annoys me to no end but so is the itch on my back. :-)
