“Christmas is built upon a beautiful and intentional paradox; that the birth of the homeless should be celebrated in every home.”
― G.K. Chesterton, Brave New Family: G.K. Chesterton on Men and Women, Children, Sex, Divorce, Marriage and the Family
I made this Nativity about 22 years ago from that bakeable plastic clay called fimo
Love Chesterton. Haven't read much of his stuff, but I would like to read more. How fortunate you are to still have your sculptures. You are so lucky! Such a memorable shot. When my mom traveled to Italy she bought some nativities in Assisi and Rome, and one was for me! I thought it was so neat to learn that nativities originated in Assisi with St. Francis. Your shot reminded me of how grateful I am to be able to appreciate such beautiful scenes--yours is so personally meaningful, and special. :)
