Custard pies

The easiest and best pie recipe I know calls for two cups of fruit, I love rhubarb, apples or Blackberries

and 1 cup of sugar
eggs
1 T flour and 1/2 cup of cream

bake at 400 for 10 minutes then drop to 325 until pie no longer appears liquid when moved side to side about another 1/2 hour

3 good things
1. Family recipes that bring memories of times spent together
2. an abundance of fresh fruit here at home
3. the simple pleasure that being able to smell can bring

They look awesome. I just bought an apple pie from Apple Hill here in CA, from the freezer at our grocer. Plan to bake that soon and the closest to homemade I have found. Do you make your own crust? Looks homemade. My Mom made the best crust, pies, etc. How I miss homemade. Loving our Farmers Market for so much wonderful fresh fruit. Enjoy your pies if there is any left.
