It was so hard to pose for pictures then- waiting for the film to be exposed. Everyone ends up looking mad or sad. But- she must have felt he was special and worth it to marry him and be separated from her family! I'm sorry it caused a rift though.
@olivetreeann her family lived with Sioux tribes during Custers last stand and the revenge massacre at wounded knee that killed Sitting Bull. Then she married a White Man! The rift must have broken her fathers heart too but she became a survivor for sure
