Greg & I 1983

I love this dorky old picture from when we were young and in love and felt like everything was ahead of us. It was the first time I ever felt beautiful, and if you think we match in a crazy enough way in black and white, you should have seen the full color effect, super white skin, Bright red hair and blue eyes. We even shared the same eye glass prescription and people were always asking if we were brother and sister. In fact, for our first date, he was carded, and was old enough to go in, but I was 8 months younger and too young for the 19 year age limit in bars in Wyoming in 1983. The hostess looked at me and said, "I already saw his ID and you two are obviously twins." and waved us in. Well, we were there to hear my best friend playing piano, but the bar was 52 miles up a mountain road, and it was wintery snow and ice driving and only about 5 other people were there that night. We drank soda and spent the night kissing and the hostess never glanced our way again.

Awwww- you remind me of Jeff and I! We look so young in our early pictures together too. It's sad that the narrow-mindedness and down-right cruelty of kids during your childhood put that lie into your head. You really were very pretty! No wonder Greg was smitten!
