See why it's called REDwood?

When the wind knocked over a tree in my yard it was a little too big to use for my Christmas tree
I wonder what its like for firewood! It must be dense so would last a while!

It does burn slow until you dry it but then it goes up fast. The bark is very fire resistant so trees often burn inside and leave a hollow cavity within a living tree
