Standing out in my yard looking across the lily to my dining room window this evening. I did not stay long though because it is pouring. We've gotten 11 inches of rain since Monday and 14 hours without power today before it came back at last

Wow- sounds like you might need to build an ark! Glad to hear your power came back. Every time we get a glitch I have think, "Well, if the power doesn't come back on right away, what will I be able to do?" 14 hours is a long time!!

This is an amazing shot. You'll probably laugh to hear that my first though was that it was shot from inside some sort of European cafe looking out the window to a quaint street or courtyard. Hope it dries up a bit.

@sailingmusic I live among redwoods. Each tree drinks an average of 500 gallons of water a day. We get 100 inches of rain a year at my house and it never floods.
