Hunt

The boys have outgrown the Easter egg hunt, and the games of hide and seek, so in looking for a picture for today's word, I searched back to last fall and my oldest son's first successful hunt, other than fish, crab and ducks. I'm not a hunter and the dead animals make me sad, but honestly I am a carnivore. And there you have my complicity.
Looks like some good eating.

@cirasj it was, he shared. But the blackmails here are really small compared to the mule deer and white tails where I grew up

@pandorasecho It does look small.

It's one thing to hunt just to snag the antlers- it's another to make use of the meat and hide as well as the antlers. It's not complicit to hunt for food. It's complicit to hunt for sport. At least that's where I draw the line. I have a similar picture of my oldest- it's one of the few times he's grinning ear to ear. Not that he's an unhappy person- it's just he rarely shows it when he's proud of his accomplishments. Well, I'll get down from my soapbox now!
