Cobra Lily by pandorasecho

Cobra Lily

Darlingtonia grows in a bog with soil rich in metal but poor in nutrients, so it is carnivorous

The soil is called serpentine and has copper, nickel and yet no calcium or nitrogen. The plant eats insects and small creatures like lizards.
That is the biggest patch of wild carnivorous flowers I have ever seen.
