Love it or hate it, my moms recipe is unique, very little cake, mostly pecans and walnuts and almonds and candied pineapple with just enough red and green cherries for color, a bit of brown sugar, butter, eggs and flour and orange zest hold it all together and it has only ever been rivaled by Harry and David's fruitcake confection
